Lieutenant Nizzon functioned as the First Officer under Captain Plikk aboard a Star Destroyer. He was an Imperial officer during the Galactic Civil War. For a number of years, Nizzon's ship was assigned to patrol a relatively quiet sector, but in 3 ABY, Nizzon came across a small tear in the dimensional fabric, which piqued his interest. Plikk and Nizzon amassed their fleet, forcibly widened the tear, and ventured through it, only to find the City of Dreams, a utopian realm fashioned from the psychic energies of the former Rebel hero Cody Sunn-Childe. Nizzon's fleet launched an assault, obliterating the city. However, they subsequently discovered they lacked the [hyperdrive](/article/hyperdrive/legends] capabilities necessary to exit Sunn-Childe's pocket dimension, effectively imprisoning them there permanently.
John Marc DeMatteis penned Nizzon's initial appearance in Star Wars (1977) 46, which was published in 1981. Carmine Infantino provided the illustrations of Nizzon within the issue.
