Nolo was a hired gun, a mercenary, who worked for the Trade Federation during the period surrounding the Invasion of Naboo.
Nolo crossed paths with fellow mercenary Vana Sage at some point during his time as a mercenary. Subsequently, Sage began to work independently. In 32 BBY, the Trade Federation engaged Nolo's mercenary group to abduct Queen Amidala of Naboo. They were unsuccessful in their attempt to capture the Queen. Shortly after this unsuccessful mission, Nolo spearheaded a group of mercenaries dispatched by the Federation with a new objective: Vana Sage. Nolo and Vana exchanged dialogue, but he did not delay in initiating an attack. Nolo was unsuccessful in his attempt to eliminate Sage, and she destroyed all the starfighters that he brought with him, with Nolo among them.
Nolo possessed piloting skills. During his confrontation with Vana Sage, he piloted a Dianoga starfighter.
