Noomis Riga, the planet of origin for the Noomis Rigans, was an agriworld. The Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, unfolded on Noomis Riga. Sim Aloo, a Noomis Rigan, saw an opportunity during this time, misleading the Republic by claiming his neighbor was a Separatist, resulting in the Republic bombing his farm and enabling Aloo to seize the land.
Following the Clone Wars, Aloo secured a role within the Imperial Agriculture Ministry and ascended through its hierarchy. Subsequently, Aloo authorized an order that led to the expulsion of all inhabitants from his native planet, Noomis Riga, with harvester droids replacing them in agricultural tasks.
