The Norisyn sun, a pale-blue star, was orbited by the planet known as Norisyn. Back in 228 BBY, it resided inside the Occlusion Zone, a region generated by the Nihil marauders. During that year, the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro, during a visit to a crystal farm situated on the fifth moon of Norisyn, made a mental observation about the cold temperature under the Norisyn sun, a condition he was unbothered by due to experiencing far harsher conditions. While scrutinizing the crystals, Ro observed that only half of them sparkled in the sunlight, while the other half, afflicted by a disease referred to as the blight, did not. While Ro was awaiting the opportunity to observe how the blight spread, the sun was obscured by Norisyn, resulting in a short period of night. Subsequently, Ro revisited the crystal farm and once more noted the crystals reflecting the sun's light. Furthermore, Norisyn was in orbit around a smaller, red sun.
The Norisyn sun made an appearance in Temptation of the Force, a 2024 novel penned by Tessa Gratton. It was released as part of Phase III of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
