Nowk Asil, a Twi'lek of the female persuasion, was a racer. She was a competitor in the Dragon Void Run, racing alongside her teammate Sotna Reat.
The initial appearance of Nowk Asil was in the first issue of the Star Wars: Han Solo comic mini-series from Marvel in 2016. Her identification as Nowk occurred in Han Solo 2. In an interview titled Solo Artist featured in Star Wars Insider 168, Mark Brooks, the artist for the comic series, disclosed that Nowk Asil was the character's complete name. He further elaborated that the name was derived from spelling his wife Lisa Kwon's name in reverse, which yields Nowk Asil.
