Obi-Wan Kenobi's theme

Obi-Wan Kenobi's musical theme was created by John Williams, the famous composer behind the Star Wars scores, specifically for the Obi-Wan Kenobi television show from 2022. It was first publicly played on May 26 of that year at Celebration Anaheim, with Williams himself conducting the performance.

Williams had previously communicated to Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, his desire to compose a theme specifically for the character Obi-Wan Kenobi. Although Kenobi initially appeared in the 1977 original trilogy movie Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and Williams' film score included a leitmotif associated with Kenobi, this musical phrase ultimately evolved into "The Force Theme."

Natalie Holt scored the rest of the Obi-Wan Kenobi soundtrack. Her musical composition was influenced both by her initial attempts to create a theme for Kenobi and by the theme Williams ultimately created.
