Omega alert
An omega alert, alternatively referred to as alert level omega, represented a coded message transmitted by the Republic Strategic Information Service, which served as the intelligence division of the Galactic Republic. This alert mandated an immediate response from all operational agents, superseding any ongoing tasks. On the moon of Nar Shaddaa, Special Agent Korol Tander initiated an omega alert, convinced that the Sith Empire had jeopardized their operations during the Cold War era between the Republic and the Empire; he became concerned when only 50% of active agents acknowledged the alert.
Behind the scenes
The concept of the omega alert appeared in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game launched in 2011 by BioWare and LucasArts. Specifically, it was referenced within the "The Power Guard Project" mission for the Jedi Knight class, taking place on Nar Shaddaa.
