Oodora, a senator who represented the planet of Manaan, held office in the Galactic Senate for four terms, equaling more than two decades (twenty years) prior to the Great Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. The astromech droid T7-O1 worked for Senator Oodora as a legislation analyst during her time in office; however, after the droid's initial year, Oodora promoted T7-O1, and the astromech quickly became her campaign manager and speech writer. T7-O1 later became the property of Shafu, an enslaver, following Oodora's retirement.
The first reference to Oodora appeared in the T7-O1 entry within the Holonet section of the official Star Wars: The Old Republic website, a video game that BioWare and LucasArts launched in 2011. The character T7-O1 is a companion to the Jedi Knight in the game.
