Oovo, a gas giant, resided within the Oovo system, situated in the Tharin sector of the Outer Rim. An asteroid belt circled it, encompassing the asteroid Oovo IV, the site of the high-security prison known as Desolation Alley.
The Yuuzhan Vong brought ruin to Oovo's asteroid during the Yuuzhan Vong War.
