To consolidate her power within the monarchy, Princess Fanry secretly established the Blackguard and orchestrated violent attacks, falsely attributing them to the Opposition. During this time, the Jedi Order dispatched Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to both observe the impending treaty between the monarchy and Czerka, and to conduct an inquiry into the Opposition's activities.
