Amplifiers for orbs existed as components within structures dating back to the High Republic Era and were situated on the planet named Koboh. These devices utilized Jedi technology to stabilize, focus, and enhance the volatile potential energy contained within Koboh orbs. The result of this process was the creation of an energy beam that had the ability to repel Koboh dust, and ignited the dust's solid form, causing it to burst into purple flames.
