Oseon 5631

Oseon 5631 was an asteroid that could be found within the Oseon system of the Centrality. The celebrated singer Ema Slake possessed a luxurious estate on Oseon 5631, which was considered the most opulent asteroid habitat in the Oseon system by 27 ABY. Sosten Freet, Slake's agent, once stole a number of her awards; however, investigators eventually located them at Freet's own Oseon 5631 residence.

Description

Within the Oseon system, Oseon 5631 was an asteroid that was situated in the Oseon asteroid belt. It was located in the Centrality sector, which formed a section of the Slice within the Outer Rim Territories. Like the rest of the Oseon system, Oseon 5631 orbited the Oseon sun and was connected to the Arleen system via the Falko Run hyperlane. Furthermore, the hyperspace route known as the Cadma Conduit provided a link to the Erilnar system and the Cadma sector's Dagelin Minor and Simbarc systems.

History

Ema Slake, the galaxy-famous singer, had more than half of her silicate trophies stolen by her agent, Sosten Freet. Freet then kept these trophies, ready for transport, in crates at his Oseon 5631 residence. Freet attempted to deflect suspicion from himself by framing O'lif Khaz, Slake's former holovid director, planting a trophy in Khaz's apartment on Oseon 8920 and orchestrating his arrest.

However, after they left that asteroid, the group of people Freet had hired to investigate Khaz were captured by thugs working for Slake's retired manager, Phaldri Nex. Nex grew suspicious upon learning of Freet's involvement and offered to free the investigators if they broke into Freet's home on Oseon 5631. The group agreed, found the stolen trophies, and apprehended Freet, delivering both the culprit and the trophies to Slake's estate on the same asteroid.

Locations

By 27 ABY, Albingi Ema Slake's estate on Oseon 5631 was the most lavish of all the asteroid habitats in the Oseon system. The entire asteroid showcased the singer's accomplishments, featuring three theme parks, a museum commemorating Slake's life and songs, and a library housing a quarter of the galaxy's musical works. Advozse Sosten Freet also maintained a residence on Oseon 5631.

Behind the scenes

Oseon 8920 was introduced in the article "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality."

The Wizards of the Coast roleplaying game source article "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality," penned by Michael Kogge and featured in Star Wars Gamer 5 on July 24, 2001, mentioned Oseon 5631. Within "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality," the asteroid provides the backdrop for a roleplaying adventure hook, and this article assumes that the events unfold as described there.

The 1990 roleplaying game source article "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," which appeared in the thirteenth issue of Voyages SF magazine, placed the Oseon system, and thus Oseon 5631, within the Zebitrope sector. Because this article was not released through the Lucas Licensing channels, its canonicity within the Star Wars Legends continuity was never established. The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book, later superseded the Voyages SF placement by confirming that the Oseon system occupied grid square T-8 within the Centrality.
