Oseon 8920, an asteroid within the Oseon system of the Centrality, was a haven for criminals. Its environment mirrored that of a smaller Nar Shaddaa, the infamous shadowport moon. O'lif Khaz, a former holovid director of the Kubaz species, once kept an apartment on Oseon 8920. Sosten Freet, who acted as the agent for the renowned singer Ema Slake, secretly stolen one of Slake's awards and placed it in Khaz's apartment. He then employed a group to investigate the supposed theft. After the investigators discovered the trophy, Freet arranged for Khaz's arrest, diverting suspicion away from himself.
An asteroid in the Oseon asteroid belt, Oseon 8920 was a part of the Oseon system. This sector of space, known as the Centrality, was located within the Slice region of the Outer Rim Territories. Like the rest of the Oseon system, Oseon 8920 orbited the local star, known as the Oseon sun, and was linked to the Arleen system via the Falko Run hyperlane. Additionally, the Cadma Conduit hyperspace route connected it to the Erilnar system and the Cadma sector's Dagelin Minor and Simbarc systems.
Sosten Freet, the agent representing the galaxy-famous singer Ema Slake, at one point stole more than half of her silicate trophies. Freet sought to frame O'lif Khaz, Slake's previous holovid director and a member of the Kubaz species, for the theft in order to redirect suspicion. To accomplish this, Freet hired a group of individuals to investigate the crime, leading them to an apartment on Oseon 8920. Khaz maintained this apartment to avoid a loan shark producer. Freet planted one of the stolen awards there.
While at the apartment, Khaz told the investigators that Phaldri Nex, Slake's former manager, may have known something about the stolen trophies. Eventually, one of the investigators found the planted trophy during their visit. Freet then arrived at the apartment, feigning coincidence, and had the Kubaz arrested for burglary, despite Khaz's protests of innocence. Freet then thanked and paid the investigators for their work. As the group left Oseon 8920, they were captured by thugs working for Nex, who suspected Freet's involvement in the theft. Nex then ordered the group to break into Freet's home on the asteroid Oseon 5631.
Oseon 8920 was among the Oseon system's many havens for criminal activity, flourishing due to its unsavory reputation. It was similar to a smaller version of Nar Shaddaa, the notorious shadowport moon located within Hutt Space. Oseon 8920 housed gamblers fleeing loan sharks, loan sharks trying to evade racketeering charges, and even tourists seeking cheaper, albeit less safe, accommodations. The Oseon Peacekeepers, the Oseon system's police force, initially aimed to eliminate Oseon 8920's criminal presence but ultimately decided against it, recognizing its value as an intelligence source.

The Wizards of the Coast roleplaying game source article "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality," written by Michael Kogge and published in Star Wars Gamer 5 on July 24, 2001, mentioned Oseon 8920. This article presents the asteroid as the location of a roleplaying adventure hook, which this article assumes unfolds as described.
In "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article featured in the thirteenth issue of Voyages SF magazine, the Oseon system, and therefore Oseon 8920, was placed within the Zebitrope sector. As this article was released independently of the Lucas Licensing process, its canonicity within the Star Wars Legends continuity was never officially established. Later, in 2009, the reference book The Essential Atlas superseded the Voyages SF placement by confirming that the Oseon system was located in grid square T-8 as part of the Centrality.
