The Ossus Jedi Temple, a Jedi temple, was situated on the planet of Ossus. It sat on a plateau that offered a view of a vast and deep canyon below. As one of the most venerable temples belonging to the Jedi Order, its construction occurred when the Jedi established themselves on Ossus, following their departure from their original home of Tython at the conclusion of the Force Wars.
The temple met its end when the planet Ossus was devastated by the Cron Supernova in the year 3996 BBY, an event that took place during the Great Sith War. Hundreds of years later, amidst the third Galactic War fought between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, Ossus was invaded by the Sith. During this invasion, the Sith Lord known as Darth Malora deployed her Mutated Geonosians to fight against the Jedi. Ultimately, the Geonosians made their home in the remnants of the Ossus Jedi Temple, and the Geonosian queen built her hive within the caverns located beneath the temple's ruins.
