The character of Ouannii initially appeared as a background element in concept artwork depicting the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. This dining room is the primary eating space within Disney's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel. The character's name was revealed within the Star Wars: Datapad mobile application offered to hotel guests, although his name was incorrectly spelled as "Ouanni."
