Designation: Outpost D-34 was an Imperial garrison positioned in orbit of Javin, which resided within the Javin sector. This primary station was a Bengel Shipbuilders XQ1 Platform, equipped with both TIE/LN starfighters and personnel transports for stormtroopers. A series of navigation beacons, situated several kilometers away, served to identify hyperspace disengagement locations.
After the Battle of Hoth, D-34 functioned as an interception point, intended to ensnare escaping Rebel Alliance starships. The Imperial forces sought to trap Alliance vessels within the Javin system, enabling ambushes launched from D-34. Shortly prior to the battle, Maarek Stele was assigned to the outpost, proving crucial in the capture of numerous Rebels fleeing Hoth on transport vessels that traversed near D-34.
The station's effectiveness and strategic location attracted the attention of both the Alliance and local pirates. As the station was targeted, Stele mounted a defense of the platform against the combined might of Rebel and Mugaari pirate forces. During the conflict, a shuttle carrying Rebel officers was seized.
Subsequently, D-34 was seized and looted by the Alliance and Mugaari while Maarek Stele was deployed to intercept an arms exchange between the Mugaari and the Rebels. During that time he was assigned to the frigate Fogger, operating in the Tungra sector. Eventually, the Fogger made its way back to D-34, and the platform was reclaimed by Imperial forces.
