The Pakuuni system, a star system, resided in the Outer Rim region of the galaxy, specifically within the Pakuuni sector, and was the location of the planet called Pakuuni.
During the period surrounding the Battle of Hoth, the Pakuuni system served as a significant refuge for both smugglers and pirates, making galactic commerce in that area challenging, or even perilous. Nevertheless, Vice Admiral Thrawn established a fresh base there, bringing order back to the system. The efforts of both the Rebels and the Pakuuni Pirates to prevent Thrawn from constructing this installation were unsuccessful.
