Paxi Sylo

Paxi Sylo was a male Human whose parents were Griggen and Tashna Sylo. He was born between 30 BBY and 31 BBY on a farm located on the Outer Rim planet called Dantooine. As a youngster, Sylo possessed an adventurous spirit and a penchant for daydreaming, often sketching stories inspired by fragmented accounts he overheard about the Clone Wars and the Jedi Knights.

Sylo observed the battle on Dantooine in 22 BBY, which involved the Grand Army of the Republic versus the Separatist Droid Army. He looked on in amazement as Jedi Master Mace Windu swiftly took down a colossal droid seismic tank that threatened to overwhelm Republic troops. After the destruction of the tank, Sylo offered Windu some water as a gesture of assistance. Subsequently, Sylo created drawings depicting Windu's victory over the seismic tank. During the Galactic Empire's rule, animations surfaced that showcased Windu's actions on Dantooine, exhibiting a style that closely resembled Sylo's doodles.

Biography

Paxi Sylo, a male Human, entered the world via birth to Griggen and Tashna Sylo, his parents. His birthplace was a sprawling, remote farm situated on the planet of Dantooine, located within the Outer Rim. His arrival occurred sometime between the years of 30 BBY and 31 BBY. As the youngest of seven siblings, he grew up alongside his family, who for ten generations had been cultivating tritacale and yot beans to stock their food reserves and trade off-world. Throughout his childhood, Sylo found pleasure in chronicling adventures on his datapad and using spare sheets of flimsiplast. He would hear stories of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the breakaway Confederacy of Independent Systems, and of the Jedi Knights, but Dantooine's remoteness rendered these tales almost mythical.

These stories transitioned into reality in 22 BBY, when the Confederacy aimed to seize Dantooine to bolster their chances in the impending Battle of Muunilinst. Mace Windu, a Jedi Master, commanded a Grand Army of the Republic force composed of clone troopers to oppose the Separatist Droid Army. As the battle unfolded, young Sylo observed from his family's farm. The Separatists deployed a formidable siege weapon known as the seismic tank during the conflict. Sylo watched in awe as Windu, acting alone, destroyed the machine, securing a Republic victory. Windu escaped the seismic tank's explosion by leaping out, landing near Sylo. The boy then shared his water with the Jedi, who returned to defeat the remaining droid forces. For weeks afterward, Sylo could only talk about the battle, filling his datapad with sketches of Windu vanquishing the seismic tank.

The Sylo estate

By the time the Galactic Empire came to power, the Sylo family had left their estate, and their trail was lost to history. However, during the Galactic Civil War, a clandestine HoloNet broadcast surfaced, featuring animations of Windu's actions during the battle on Dantooine. The Imperial Security Bureau attempted to suppress it, but it gained a cult following among aspiring members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Although the animations lacked attribution, their style mirrored Sylo's datapad doodles.

As a child, Sylo was adventurous, imaginative, and prone to daydreaming. Tales of the Jedi Knights and the Clone Wars captivated him, inspiring him to write and illustrate related stories. He was generally reserved, but his encounter with Mace Windu changed that, as he couldn't stop recounting the experience and how he offered the Jedi Master his canteen. Sylo had light tan skin, black eyes, and brown hair.

Equipment

Sylo's attire consisted of a hat, a sleeveless shirt, and shorts secured by a belt from which a water-filled canteen hung. He also wore a band on his left wrist and went barefoot.

Paxi Sylo made his debut in the twelfth chapter of the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated television series, which aired on March 29, 2004. Andy Suriano designed the character. Sylo was later given an entry in the original Databank on StarWars.com, which was posted in 2004 and revealed his name for the first time.
