Pela (Path of the Open Hand)

Pela, a Togruta, held membership within the Path of the Open Hand. Around the year 382 BBY, Pela resided at the healing house located on Jedha, cohabitating with fellow members of the Path. During Jedi Master Silandra Sho's journey to the almshouse, intending to converse with those injured during the bombing of the Second Spire, Pela communicated to the Jedi that she was unwelcome in the building. This stemmed from the Path's conviction that the Jedi misused the Force, leading to Pela's refusal to grant her entry. Soon after, The Herald made an appearance and permitted the Jedi, along with Keth Cerepath, an adjunct of the Church of the Force, to enter.
