A human female who achieved the rank of Jedi Master, Silandra Sho, was a member of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. Her personal philosophy was reflected in her preference for a shield in battle, over her lightsaber. Sho was the leader of a Republic Pathfinder team that included Padawan Rooper Nitani, pilot Dietrix Jago, medic Obik Dennisol, and the droids EX-9B and GT-11.
Prior to 382 BBY, Silandra took Peleth on as her Padawan. Silandra was deeply affected by Peleth's death during a perilous mission. She later accepted Rooper Nitani as her apprentice, and they became a powerful team, sharing numerous adventures as Pathfinders exploring the Galactic Frontier. Having joined the Jedi Order at such a young age that she had no memories of her family, Rooper came to see her master as the closest thing she had to a mother, and she worked hard to make Silandra proud.
In 382 BBY, Silandra and her team journeyed to Aubadas, a remote planet located in the Dalnan sector, after receiving a distress signal from the Pathfinder team led by Jedi Master Rok Buran, which had gone missing. Their assignment led them to Gloam, Aubadas's ominous twin planet, where they learned that Master Buran's team had been double-crossed by the Katikoot Rillik and murdered by the undead Gloam monsters, with Rok being the only one to survive.
After this adventure, Silandra left Rooper on Batuu and embarked on a pilgrimage to the Holy City on Jedha during the Season of Light, arriving just in time for the Festival of Balance. At the request of her friend, Master Creighton Sun, she investigated a bomb attack on the peace talks between representatives of the warring planets Eiram and E'ronoh, with the help of Keth Cerepath, a young adjunct of the Church of the Force. This led her to an almshouse run by the Path of the Open Hand, a secretive cult that opposed the Jedi Order and all others who used the Force. She spoke with the Mother, the Path's leader, but left after experiencing the unsettling effects of the Leveler.

When the E'roni ambassador Tintak was murdered by a member of the Brotherhood of the Ninth Door on the Path's and its ally Tilson Graf's secret orders, Silandra participated in the Battle of Jedha that followed. After another near-fatal encounter with the Leveller, from which she was saved by Keth's droid P3-7A, she walked with the Mother through the battlefield, debating the Path's and the Jedi's opposing philosophies. She fought Mytion, the Brotherhood's leader, in single combat at the height of the conflict, defeating him thanks to Keth Cerepath's sacrifice.
After the battle, Silandra went to the Enlightenment taproom to tell Keth's grieving friends about his brave sacrifice before leaving Jedha to rejoin Rooper on Batuu. Silandra was instead drawn into the battle between the Jedi and the Path on Dalna, where she fought in space against the mercenary spacers hired by the Path, and encountered Rooper aboard the starship Brightbird with her friends Dass Leffbruk, Sky Graf, and the captured Path member Fel Ix.
Silandra interviewed Fel Ix after the battle and the Path's dissolution, helping him reunite with his family before leaving with Rooper to rejoin their Pathfinder team for more adventures. Around 377 BBY, Sho, Nitani, and P3-7A apprehended Ullan Yite, the leader of the Bright Circle criminal organization, and stopped a deal between the Circle and pirates.

Silandra Sho, a Jedi Master, possessed great strength in the Force and could use it to achieve a wide range of effects. She was particularly skilled at using her telekinetic abilities to remotely control her shield, allowing her to use it as a non-lethal weapon in combat and to protect herself and others. She could also use the Force to increase her physical strength and speed, as well as to leap great distances, as seen when she visited the Katikoot's lost city on Gloam.
Silandra was also a skilled lightsaber combatant, as demonstrated when she fought Mytion of the Brotherhood of the Ninth Door during the Battle of Jedha, despite preferring to use her shield.
Silandra wore the durable mission attire worn by Jedi serving on Pathfinder teams during the High Republic. Her shield was Silandra Sho's most notable piece of equipment, in addition to her blue-bladed lightsaber. It was a unique weapon that created panels of energy in a golden frame, capable of stopping a lightsaber and deflecting blaster bolts. Silandra's belief that a Jedi knight's primary responsibility was to be a shield who protected others was reflected in the shield.
