Peleth was a Padawan within the Jedi Order, a Jedi in training, who was under the tutelage of Jedi Master Silandra Sho and ultimately died during a perilous assignment. Approximately around 389 BBY, following Peleth's demise, Sho accepted another Padawan learner, named Rooper Nitani. In 382 BBY, while undertaking a mission to the planet named Gloam, Sho brought up Peleth to Nitani for the first time, detailing the struggles she faced in the aftermath of her loss. Later in that same year, Sho embarked on a pilgrimage to the moon of Jedha and had a vision of Peleth within the Kyber Mirrors situated in the Holy City. Subsequently, she discussed her vision with Jedi Master Creighton Sun, admitting that it had taken her an extended period to cease self-blame for Peleth's passing, but that she had finally found peace with the event.

During the era of the High Republic Era, Peleth served as a Jedi Padawan in the Jedi Order, receiving training from Jedi Master Silandra Sho before her death on a hazardous mission. Sho held herself accountable for Peleth's fate, struggling to release her feelings of guilt; however, she knew that it was necessary. Around 389 BBY, sometime after Peleth's death, Sho began to train another Padawan, Rooper Nitani, who had heard about Peleth from other individuals at a Jedi temple. In 382 BBY, while on a mission to the planet Gloam, Sho mentioned her former apprentice to Nitani for the first time. She explained that she had found it difficult to move on after Peleth's death, also mentioning that in training Padawans, the master also learned as much as the student. Nitani was curious, but chose not to press for more details, knowing that Sho would speak about it only when she felt ready.
Later that year, Sho undertook a pilgrimage to the moon Jedha and paid a visit to the Kyber Mirrors located within the Holy City, where she experienced a vision of Peleth. Afterwards, Sho had a conversation with Jedi Master Creighton Sun about what she had witnessed within the mirrors. Upon learning that Sho had seen Peleth, he expressed his condolences. Sho then stated that Peleth was now one with the Force, and that her vision had been beautiful. She further explained that it had taken her a long time to cease blaming herself for Peleth's death, but that she now felt at peace with it.
Being a member of the Jedi Order, Peleth possessed Force-sensitive abilities and underwent training to wield the Force.
Peleth was initially mentioned, though indirectly, in the 2022 junior novel titled The High Republic: Quest for the Hidden City, authored by George Mann. Her identity was later confirmed in the audio drama The High Republic: The Battle of Jedha, which was also written by Mann and released on January 3, 2023. The precise spelling of her name was verified in the audio drama's script, which was made available on February 14, 2023. Both of these works were released as part of Phase II of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
