Phoenix Three was the callsign utilized by Phoenix Squadron. This squadron consisted of pilots flying RZ-1 A-wing interceptors as part of the rebellion against the Galactic Empire, engaging in various battles against Imperial forces.
The callsign Phoenix Three was adopted by various members of Phoenix Squadron, a squadron of RZ-1 A-wing interceptors that served the early rebellion opposing the Galactic Empire. During the Siege of Lothal, a pilot identified as Phoenix Three participated in the attack launched by the Sith Lord Darth Vader against the rebel Phoenix fleet. Furthermore, a different pilot using the same callsign was involved when the rebels attempted to break through the Imperial blockade surrounding the planet Ibaar. Subsequently, another pilot operating under the Phoenix Three callsign was shot down by a TIE/ln space superiority starfighter during a later skirmish with Imperial forces. Eventually, a pilot with this callsign met their death in a battle against the Mandalorian Protectors, Mandalorian warriors who were tasked with defending the Concord Dawn system for the Empire.
