A picket ship, sometimes shortened to just picket, represented a class of starship. The Galactic Republic employed Pelta-class frigates in the role of picket ships. During the Berch Teller campaign, the Galactic Empire deployed a number of pickets. The theocratic government of the Kilji Illumine operated Kilji picket cruisers, with one example being the Hammer, which served within the task force commanded by Illumine General Crofyp.
