Pilf Mukmuk, a Kowakian monkey-lizard, was a member of the Ohnaka Gang, and he also had a sibling named Pikk. During the Clone Wars, Mukmuk played a crucial role in the Ohnaka Gang's capture of Dooku on Florrum by successfully stealing the lightsabers that belonged to both Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku. Subsequently, when Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived to confirm Dooku was captured, Skywalker noticed the monkey-lizard had his lightsaber, though his initial attempt to retrieve it was unsuccessful.
The first appearance of Pilf Mukmuk was in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, specifically in the first season's eleventh episode titled "Dooku Captured," which was broadcast on January 2, 2009.
Originally, the "Dooku Captured" episode was planned to feature not one, but two Kowakian monkey-lizards, the twin brothers Pikk and Pilf Mukmuk. However, their roles were combined, and Pilf became the sole character.
The origin of Pilf's name stems from his off-screen act of pilfering the lightsaber from Count Dooku.
