Poe Dameron's X-wing fighter

Poe Dameron's X-wing fighter, alternatively referred to as Poe's X-wing, represented a Resistance T-70 X-wing starfighter piloted by Commander Poe Dameron throughout the war fought between the First Order and the Resistance.

Features

In contrast to his cherished Black One, which exhibited a black and orange color scheme, Poe's subsequent X-wing presented a light gray and orange appearance, complemented by hints of blue. On occasion, Dameron would temporarily re-apply a design reminiscent of his old livery to the hull of his new X-wing.

History

After Black One was destroyed, Poe Dameron eventually obtained another X-wing as a replacement, this one featuring an orange color. The starfighter saw combat during the Battle of Exegol, where he spearheaded the Resistance's efforts to impede the launch of the Xyston-class Star Destroyers belonging to the Sith Eternal's fleet, known as the Final Order, preventing them from conquering the galaxy and establishing a new Sith Empire. As the battle unfolded, Poe Dameron utilized the fighter to engage multiple TIE/dg starfighters that had departed from the Sith Star Destroyers. His goal was to create a clear path for the Exegol landing team to land on the planet's surface and dismantle the navigation tower. However, the navigation signal was rerouted to the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Steadfast, enabling Enric Pryde to personally guide the fleet's departure. This development prompted Finn to abort the ground invasion, leading to the decision to launch an assault on the command ship instead. Poe Dameron gathered his wingmen, including Temmin Wexley, to provide cover for the landing craft, ensuring the safe arrival of Finn and the other fighters. While Finn and Jannah engaged the Sith troopers in an attempt to destroy the navigation signal, Poe's X-wing eliminated several Sith TIE fighters to offer support. Subsequently, Poe instructed the remaining pilots to target the Sith Star Destroyers directly, as they believed that reinforcements were not forthcoming.

The Resistance suffered significant losses as numerous Sith TIEs downed several fighters, causing Poe distress and a sense of hopelessness. However, Poe then received a communication from Lando Calrissian indicating that additional forces were arriving, allowing him to maneuver the X-wing to a secure position and realizing that Lando had brought a huge fleet to assist the Resistance. Poe then urged all the pilots to target the underbelly cannons of the Sith Star Destroyers, a tactic that proved to turn the tide of the battle. Shortly after their arrival, Darth Sidious, having returned to his original form, employed Force lightning to disable all ships, including Poe Dameron's X-wing. As Poe Dameron's X-wing was struck by Force lightning, he began to lose control of the spacecraft while desperately seeking assistance. The X-wing's control systems were restored when Poe informed the others that they had one final opportunity to destroy the Sith Star Destroyers' cannons, coinciding with Rey's channeling of the power of past Jedi spirits to defeat Sidious in a final confrontation. Following the destruction of the Steadfast, Poe piloted the X-wing to eliminate the remaining defenseless Sith fleet and attempted to rescue Finn and Jannah, but Lando arrived to perform the rescue. The Resistance then returned to base to celebrate their triumph.
