Portmoak sector
The Portmoak sector represented one sector within the galaxy. The Toong podracer, Ben Quadinaros, fabricated a tale in 29 ABY concerning his refusal of an offer from the infamous Dug racer, Sebulba, to co-headline a race held somewhere within this sector. He shared this anecdote while amusing fellow racers who were his competitors in the Varl Circuit situated on the Moons of Varl.
Behind the scenes
Within the current Star Wars canon, Padawan's Pride, a 2024 audio book authored by Bryan Q. Miller, included a reference to the Portmoak sector. Its initial appearance was in the Star Wars Legends timeline, specifically in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a 1993 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. This supplement was penned by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann and released by West End Games. The sector was then featured for the first time in the 2008 short story called "Fists of Ion," authored by Edward M. Erdelac and made available through the Hyperspace portion of StarWars.com.
