The Toong were a sentient species of bipedal beings with a very distinctive appearance. Their homeworld was the planet of Tund. Characterized by elongated limbs and a diverse range of skin pigments, their most notable feature was a large head that occupied the space where a torso would typically be found in humanoid creatures. A well-known Toong individual was Ben Quadinaros, a podracer who competed in the renowned Boonta Eve Classic race.

Several Toong became famous as racers. One example is Lor Kelasakuroona, a Toong racer who participated in the forty-eighth annual Dragonfire Air Rally on Coruscant. Another is Ben Quadinaros, a well-known Toong male podracer who claimed to originate from the enigmatic Tund system. During the Naboo Crisis, Quadinaros entered the Boonta Eve Classic, but his [podracer](/article/podracer] suffered a mechanical failure, preventing him from advancing beyond the starting line. Despite this initial setback, Quadinaros continued to participate in podracing events and was promoted as the arch-rival of Sebulba on the poster The Sport's Greatest Rivalry during the period of the Clone Wars.
Furthermore, during the Clone Wars, some Toong were employed under a Trandoshan manager at a Pyke Syndicate spice distribution center located on Oba Diah. Rafa and Trace Martez attempted to deceive the workers into loading spice onto their ship by falsely claiming to possess a valid delivery order.
