The Tund system, alternatively called the Toong system, designated grid square U-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid, was an enigmatic star system situated within the Centrality sector of the Outer Rim Territories. This system held the hidden planet of Tund, which served as the homeworld for Ben Quadinaros, a Toong Podracer pilot.
The canon debut of the Tund system occurred in 1999 with its mention in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, the first film of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Subsequently, it appeared visually on a galactic map included in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a roleplaying game by Fantasy Flight Games that launched in 2016. The reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, also from 2016, introduced "Toong system" as an alternate name for the Tund system. Notably, the StarWars.com Databank mistakenly identifies the Tund system as a planet, rather than a star system.
In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the system was first referenced within Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu, a 1983 novel penned by L. Neil Smith which initiated Star Wars: The Lando Calrissian Adventures trilogy.
