Power Guard Enhancement System

Galen, an agent, after his transformation into a Power Guard. The Power Guard Enhancement System represents a research initiative undertaken by the Galactic Republic during the period of the Cold War and situated on Nar Shaddaa. The Republic Senate, driven by fears of the potential demise of the Jedi Order after the Great Galactic War, gave the go-ahead for a clandestine research program on Nar Shaddaa. This program aimed to create super-soldiers through the integration of cybernetics and adrenal stimulants. The intention was to deploy these Power Guards on the battlefield as a countermeasure against the Sith, particularly in scenarios where Jedi were unavailable.

The project's base was established on Nar Shaddaa due to the illicit nature of the research activities. Its secrecy was so profound that even high-ranking officers within the Republic military, who were responsible for overseeing the project, were unaware of the location of the project's headquarters. There was a ready supply of volunteers for the project, with the majority being refugees seeking vengeance against the Sith Empire.

Following the theft of the Republic's superweapon blueprints by the Sith Lord Tarnis, Lord Sadic assumed control of the project, exploiting its technology to enhance and manipulate unsuspecting individuals. The project was eventually terminated through the actions of the Hero of Tython.

The Power Guards were produced in three distinct models: Mark I, Mark II, and Mark III.
