Prazhi

Prazhi, a planet within the Expansion Region according to Legends continuity, resided in the Cyrillian Protectorate. This world held significance as the original homeworld for the Zexx species. Having been a part of the galactic community since at least 5000 BBY, Prazhi, a millennium later, found itself strategically positioned along a crucial hyperspace trade route. By the time the Galactic Empire came to reign, Prazhi had evolved into a [trade](/article/merchant/legends] world, its economy experiencing a resurgence due to Imperial initiatives aimed at resettling the Expansion Region.

Description

Prazhi, a terrestrial planet, was situated in the Prazhi system, which itself was a component of the Cyrillian Protectorate within the Expansion Region's section known as the Slice. During the period between 5000 BBY and 3996 BBY, Prazhi benefited from its location on a vital commercial hyperlane, connecting it to the Circarpous and Cyrillia systems. However, this particular hyperspace route had disappeared by 3976 BBY.

History

Around 5000 BBY, Prazhi had integrated into the region of space extensively explored by the Galactic Republic, then commonly referred to as the "civilized galaxy." Prazhi ultimately transformed into a [trade](/article/merchant-legends] hub. Despite suffering economic hardship by the time of the Galactic Empire's reign, Imperial efforts focused on resettling the Expansion Region had a favorable impact on Prazhi's economic state.

Inhabitants

Prazhi served as the original homeworld for the sentient Zexx species. These beings initially organized themselves into tribal groups before the planet's assimilation into the broader galactic community. In time, many Zexx found employment at the starship docking facilities established on Prazhi, while numerous others secured positions aboard vessels traveling off-world.

Locations

By 4000 BBY, Prazhi hosted several docking areas complete with cantinas, refueling stations, and repair facilities.

Behind the scenes

Prazhi was initially referenced within the 1996 roleplaying game supplement Tales of the Jedi Companion, authored by George R. Strayton and released by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The 2009 reference publication The Essential Atlas positioned the Prazhi system, and consequently the planet Prazhi, within grid coordinate O-12.
