Preartes was an officer of the Galactic Empire, specifically a lieutenant of male gender, whose duty station was the [Aerie], a cruiser-carrier. He felt he had failed when he could not stop two pilots from fleeing during the pursuing of the New Republic frigate called [Hellion's Dare] as it passed through the Oridol Cluster. Because of this perceived failure, Preartes went back to Colonel Shakara Nuress of the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing hoping for a chance to prove his worth.
