Pure Sabacc

Pure Sabacc Idiots Array EG Standard Sabacc featuring Pure Sabacc

Pure Sabacc represented a victorious hand in the Sabacc card game, as well as its various forms.

How It Was Used

Sabacc

Within the sabacc card game, achieving a Pure Sabacc, often just called Sabacc, meant holding a hand that summed to either +23 or -23. The only hand capable of defeating it was the Idiot's Array, a scarce combination of the Idiot, a two, and a three.

Pure Sabacc in Corellian Spike

Corellian Spike

In the Sabacc variant known as Corellian Spike, a Pure Sabacc signified a winning hand, specifically one comprised of two sylop cards, each with a value of zero.

Kessel Sabacc

Within the Kessel Sabacc version, a Pure Sabacc was a winning hand, defined by holding a pair of sylop cards. Notably, each of the two decks contained only one sylop card.

Behind the Curtains

Sabacc

The Pure Sabacc for the standard game was originally depicted in the 2015 Star Wars Rebels episode "Idiot's Array", though it was simply referred to as "sabacc" at that point. The 2015 reference book, Star Wars Rebels: Visual Guide: Epic Battles, later clarified its name as "Pure Sabacc".

Corellian Spike

The Corellian Spike version initially surfaced within the real-world edition of the sabacc card game, available at the Toydarian Toymaker shop inside the Star Wars theme park Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which opened its doors in 2019.

Kessel Sabacc

The Kessel Sabacc iteration was first showcased in the 2024 Ubisoft video game Star Wars Outlaws, as an optional activity.
