The Pygmy Torton Cave existed as a cavern located to the southeast of the city of Narmle on the Nabooian moon named Rori. This cave was the habitat of pygmy tortons.
Once upon a time, a female torton whose growth had been stunted naturally since her birth, discovered this cave and found it a suitable place to deposit her eggs. This led to the creation of the impressive group of tortons that later made the cave their home. It was rumored that the matriarch still resided in the cave many years later, during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Around the time of the Battle of Yavin, a biologist wrote and distributed an article concerning the cave on the HoloNet.
During the year 1 ABY, a spacer made a visit to the cave and there discovered the weapon known as Darstai'is Sickle.
The Pygmy Torton Cave was a location featured in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment, and published by LucasArts, before its eventual shutdown on December 15, 2011. The cave was incorporated into the game through the "Publish 1" update, which was released on August 3, 2003.
