By the year 10 BBY, Dryden Vos, the public persona of the Crimson Dawn criminal organization, acquired a sizable Sith holocron. Once reconstructed, Vos stored the holocron within his private museum on the star yacht First Light, with the intention of gifting it to an appropriate recipient. Following Vos's death at the hands of his lieutenant, Qi'ra, she inherited the holocron and secured it aboard her flagship, known as the Vermillion.
