First Light was a mobile headquarters and private residence utilized by Crimson Dawn's crime lord, Dryden Vos, who was a near-human. This vessel was a Nau'ur-class yacht. Following Vos's death, Qi'ra gained ownership of it.
The yacht included a crew that consisted of both biological beings and droids. The Hylobon Enforcers served as its dedicated onboard security force.

The First Light, much like other spaceships produced by Kalevala Spaceworks such as the Coronet, exhibited a unique vertical structure. Its design featured a slender, towering form, with the interior arranged into multiple levels and decks stacked vertically. Dryden Vos' personal chambers and office were situated at the uppermost point of the vessel. An elevator that spanned the entire height of the ship provided access to all levels.
The Modernist interior of the Marin County Civic Center, conceived by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, served as the inspiration for the First Light's interior. This location is situated a mere 20 minutes from Skywalker Ranch, where Star Wars creator George Lucas partially filmed THX-1138, his directorial debut and a 1971 cult classic. A preliminary iteration of the yacht drew inspiration from the elevated collar of Bela Lugosi's vampire attire in the 1931 film Dracula. However, earlier script drafts depicted Dryden Vos's operational hub as an island stronghold featuring a canal system akin to Mont-Saint-Michel, rather than a starship.
