Roughly two months following the arrival of the enslaved Corellian Qi'ra on the First Light, Ottilie was tasked with delivering a meal to Qi'ra, who was confined to her quarters as a form of punishment.
Believing that the dispatch of an apparently vulnerable individual such as Ottilie was a test orchestrated by Vos, Qi'ra questioned the server about her supposed desire to be on the yacht. Ottilie responded that she genuinely enjoyed her role serving beverages, as she excelled at it and felt secure. In 10 BBY, she was providing service during a gathering on the yacht when the starship made its way to the planet Vandor. During the festivities, Qi'ra pilfered a pair of glasses filled with quanya from Ottilie's serving tray, expressing her gratitude to the server.
Ottilie, a human, was employed as an elegant server on the First Light, the personal yacht belonging to crime lord Dryden Vos, the leader of the Crimson Dawn criminal organization. Approximately two months after the arrival of the enslaved Corellian Qi'ra on the yacht, Ottilie was instructed to take a meal to her, as the Corellian was being disciplined by being restricted to her living quarters. Qi'ra—who had been born in 31 BBY—was only a few years younger than Ottilie and viewed the server as an easy target, suspecting that the meal delivery was a test designed by Vos to observe her actions after she had killed a guard a number of hours prior.
Instead of launching an attack, Qi'ra inquired of Ottilie how she managed to maintain a smile and feign happiness while working on the First Light as the server placed the tray down. Surprised by Qi'ra's insinuation, Ottilie responded that she was content with her situation, as she excelled at serving drinks and felt secure. Qi'ra then expressed her appreciation to the server for the food, and Ottilie's carefully controlled expression shifted into a smile that was genuine enough to convince Qi'ra that the guard's corpse had been removed before Ottilie could witness it. The server then collected Qi'ra's empty breakfast tray and departed, leaving the door unlocked behind her. Vos paid a visit to Qi'ra shortly after Ottilie's departure and declared that the Corellian was no longer enslaved, relocating her to more luxurious accommodations to undertake new responsibilities for him.
In 10 BBY, she provided service to Vos's VIP guests during a party held on the yacht as it docked at the planet of Vandor. As criminals Tobias Beckett, Han Solo, and Chewbacca arrived on the starship's observation deck via turbolift, Ottilie walked past her colleague Margo with a tray of beverages, who then greeted the trio.
Later, the server carried a tray containing three glasses of [quanya](/article/quanya] reserve intended for Count [Chrodber](/article/chrodber] of Serenno, but Qi'ra, Vos's lieutenant, took two glasses from the tray as Ottilie walked by. After handing one to Solo, Qi'ra thanked Ottilie, asking if the server had been attentive to Dok-Ondar, an Ithorian antiques dealer. Ottilie affirmed that she had been very attentive and then left the pair, blending into the crowd with her single remaining glass. Qi'ra subsequently killed Vos and assumed his position within Crimson Dawn.
Ottilie was characterized by her efficiency, attentiveness, and a level of initiative that allowed her to work independently without causing concern for her superiors. When questioned by Qi'ra, Ottilie asserted that she desired to work as a server aboard the First Light, as she believed she was skilled in the role and felt secure on the yacht. She was a tall human with black hair, brown eyes, and fair skin. Qi'ra considered Ottilie to be attractive.
