Quelton Fabrication, situated on the Inner Rim world of Gilvaanen, was an armor manufacturing plant. This factory was the property of Thetis Quelton, a passionate devotee of armor. Throughout the Imperial Era, Quelton Fabrication acted as a supplier of stormtrooper armor for the Imperial Military. Quelton, however, held dissenting views regarding the Galactic Empire's inclination towards militaristic policies. She was concerned that her manufactured goods would be used by the Empire in the prosecution of unwarranted conflicts. To counteract this, she secretly collaborated with the Ithorian proprietor of Cladtech to intentionally slow down the rate at which stormtrooper armor was produced. Furthermore, Quelton surreptitiously introduced Bottleneck spores, lethal to human respiratory systems, into the helmets' ventilation mechanisms. Following the exposure of her clandestine activities by Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin and Count Denetrius Vidian, the Imperial efficiency expert, Quelton took her own life to evade being apprehended. Subsequently, the Empire orchestrated a merger between Quelton Fabrication and Cladtech, placing the newly formed entity under the direct supervision of the Imperial Department of Military Research.
