The Quesaya Border Conflict, named after the Quesaya system near the edge of Galactic Republic-explored space, occurred in 4007 BBY. Notably, the Republic's Rocket-Jumper Elite Advance Unit participated in this conflict. This event became one of the unit's most celebrated and legendary engagements, showcasing their bravery. A former rocket-jumper who had fought in the Quesaya Border Conflict, when involved in a later confrontation seven years afterward, recalled facing a more formidable foe during the Quesaya conflict.

The initial mention of the Quesaya Border Conflict appeared in the 1996 sourcebook Tales of the Jedi Companion, a roleplaying game supplement. This book, designed for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, was authored by George R. Strayton and published by West End Games.
Originally, the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart, was intended to include a mention of the conflict. However, the relevant section was removed prior to publication. This information about the Quesaya Border Conflict was subsequently released in 2014 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut. This series of articles, featuring cut content from the book, was published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Del Rey editor Erich Schoeneweiss.
