R6 astromech droid

R6 astromech droids, alternatively referred to as the R6-series, represented a classification of astromech droids. Sharing a similar conical frustum-shaped head with the R5 series, the R6 distinguished itself with an eye piece design that bore a stronger resemblance to that of the R2 series.

The R6 series found application within the combat game Power Control featured in the competitive sports program Hunters of the Outer Rim which took place in 9 ABY.

The Resistance utilized the R6 series in starfighters like the T-70 X-wing.
