Ra-Zyrth

Ra-Zyrth, a male Massassi, served the Sith Empire during the era of the Great Hyperspace War. Rising to prominence, he became a leading officer under Naga Sadow, the Dark Lord of the Sith Empire. Sadow employed dark side sorcery to transform Ra-Zyrth into a deformed monstrosity. Subsequently, the Massassi entered a state of deep hibernation within a stasis pod, launched toward the world of Coruscant during a Sith assault on the planet in 5000 BBY.

Biography

Ra-Zyrth, a male Massassi, came into existence in the period preceding the Great Hyperspace War. Subjected to a brutal upbringing, he, like all Massassi, underwent training from birth to function as a warrior for the Sith Empire, a dominant power situated in the Stygian Caldera. Eventually, Ra-Zyrth ascended to become a leading officer under Naga Sadow, the ruler of the Sith Empire. Shortly before Sadow's invasion of the Galactic Republic in 5000 BBY, the Sith Lord convened Ra-Zyrth and several other of his top officers. Utilizing dark side sorcery, Sadow transformed Ra-Zyrth and the other officers into deformed monstrosities. Following this transformation, Ra-Zyrth and the other officers were placed within stasis pods, and the Massassi entered a deep state of slumber.

Not long after, Sadow's forces attacked the planet Coruscant, the seat of power for the Republic. During the conflict, the capsules containing Ra-Zyrth and the other sleeping officers were launched into the urban landscape of Coruscant. Conflicting accounts exist regarding Ra-Zyrth's fate after this point. Some claim that upon deployment of his capsule, the Massassi immediately awoke and perished in battle against the Jedi defenders of Coruscant. Others suggest that his capsule came to rest in a forgotten area of the Coruscant Undercity, where Ra-Zyrth remained in suspended animation for many years, awaiting accidental activation and subsequent reawakening.

Personality and traits

Ra-Zyrth underwent training from an early age to become a merciless and efficient soldier, dedicated to achieving glory for the Sith Empire. Following Naga Sadow's alchemical alterations, he developed a highly muscular physique and gained protective skin.

Equipment

He was equipped with a Massassi insignia denoting his status, a blade, and a Sith lanvarok, a wrist-mounted weapon that launched small projectiles.

Behind the scenes

Ra-Zyrth was initially mentioned in Coruscant and the Core Worlds, a 2003 tabletop supplement published by Wizards of the Coast.
