Rampa 1

Rampa 1, alternatively known as Rampa I, existed as a planet situated inside the Rampa Minor system. This system was located within the Baxel sector of the Outer Rim Territories.

History

During 4 BBY, the inhabitants of Rampa 1 staged an rebellion against the forces of the Galactic Empire, taking inspiration from the example set by the people of Rampa 2. The Empire violently suppressed both revolts.

Behind the scenes

The planet Rampa 1 initially appeared in the 1997 novel titled The Hutt Gambit, which served as the second book in Star Wars: The Han Solo Trilogy authored by A. C. Crispin. It received another mention in the 1998 novel Rebel Dawn, the trilogy's concluding volume.

To distinguish Rampa 1 and Rampa 2 from Rampa III, a planet first seen in Brian Daley's Star Wars: The Han Solo Adventures, the reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, introduced the Rampa Minor system, clarifying that they are not part of the same system.

Despite The Essential Atlas positioning the Rampa Minor system towards the rimward edge of Hutt Space, remarks made by Han Solo during the events of The Hutt Gambit suggest that Rampa 1 and Rampa 2 are not located within the Outer Rim Territories, but instead are closer in proximity to Coruscant and more civilized regions.
