Raymond Ramirez


Raymond Ramirez, a soldier and sniper in the U.S. Army, is also a dedicated Star Wars enthusiast who maintains the blogsite Mando'ade and their toys. The Star Wars films profoundly impacted his life, as he felt a strong connection to the Mandalorian bounty hunter Boba Fett. He also expressed admiration for numerous stories within the Expanded Universe, asserting that some offered valuable life lessons and were exceptionally well-crafted.

When the opportunity arose for Raymond to contribute to Star Wars Insider, he penned a favorable review of Karen Traviss' Republic Commando: Hard Contact, commending her writing style. Subsequently, Ramirez and Traviss developed a close friendship. As an expression of gratitude, Traviss acknowledged his input in the acknowledgments sections of Republic Commando: Triple Zero, Republic Commando: True Colors, and Legacy of the Force: Revelation (which was also dedicated to him). The character Ram Zerimar, who appears in Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines, represents a tuckerization of Ramirez's name. Furthermore, Ramirez contributed to the design of the Verpine shatter gun with bipod and a helmet for Kal Skirata.

Raymond Ramirez was present at Celebration IV in 2007. He appeared in cosplay as a Mandalorian. He stated that his choice reflected his deep affection for the Mandalorians, emphasizing that his own military background heightened his appreciation and respect for their culture and values.
