The Razor Assault Ship was a class of assault ship characterized by its extended, horizontally-oriented hull. At least one starship of this type participated as part of the Citizens' Fleet, aiding the Resistance in their fight on the planet Exegol against the resurgent forces of Darth Sidious. This alliance of Resistance and civilian vessels successfully overcame the Sith Eternal's armada of Star Destroyers.
The Razor Assault Ship, a type of assault ship, exhibited a distinct horizontal design. The ship's slender, sharp-angled structure broadened at one end, from which two substantial wings extended. This assault ship was equipped with a hyperdrive and powered by five engines. Four engines were clustered at the broader end of the vessel, while the remaining engine was located at the opposite end.

In 35 ABY, a Razor Assault Ship was among the vessels forming the Citizens' Fleet, a collection of independent starships gathered by General Lando Calrissian to support the Resistance. This fleet journeyed to Exegol to assist the forces of the Resistance during the Battle of Exegol. Their adversary was the Final Order, a fleet of Star Destroyers belonging to the Sith Eternal and commanded by the resurrected Darth Sidious. Shortly after the citizens' fleet's arrival, a Razor Assault Ship was observed flying past an exploding Star Destroyer, accompanied by several starfighters.
During the conflict, Sidious used Force lightning to incapacitate the Resistance and citizen fleets; however, numerous ships, including a Razor Assault Ship, regained functionality when he was momentarily distracted by an assault from the Jedi Rey. Ultimately, the arrival of the citizens' fleet proved crucial in securing a victory for the Resistance.
The Razor Assault Ship made its debut in the 2019 sequel trilogy movie, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Its identification was first made in the video "Every Ship in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy," which was uploaded to the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel on July 31, 2020.

The Razor Assault Ship's design originates from unused concept artwork by James Clyne for the Buckshot, a carrier intended for use by Enfys Nest and the Cloud-Riders in the 2018 film, Solo: A Star Wars Story. In The Art of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Clyne mentioned that this particular design, which ultimately became the Razor Assault Ship, gained some attention, and he considered its potential as a background Easter egg during scenes set in Dryden Vos's yacht at Fort Ypso.
