Reciprocating quad blaster cannon
The reciprocating quad blaster cannon, frequently called "Cip-Quad," represented an experimental armament engineered by Merr-Sonn Munitions during the era of the Clone Wars.
Description
This reciprocating quad blaster received its energy from a power cell fastened to the user's back and was mounted on a specialized harness incorporating microrepulsorlifts. Depending on the selected rotation pattern, the four barrels could be discharged individually or in pairs, with coolant tanks situated within the rig providing recoil-based cooling.
ARC heavy gunners wielding this weapon were equipped with custom armor, featuring helmet-integrated head-up displays and harness connections to optimize weapon utilization. The weapon proved most effective against slower-moving vehicles within the Separatist forces, such as the Corporate Alliance NR-N99 tank droid and the Trade Federation Armored Assault Tank, as infantry units often possessed the agility to evade its firepower.
History

The team of ARC Troopers dispatched to rescue the stranded Jedi, Daakman Barrek, on the planet of Hypori employed this weapon. Specifically, the team included an ARC Heavy Gunner equipped with a reciprocating quad blaster, which he used to impede Grievous while other team members located the trapped Jedi and attempted extraction via their gunship. Nevertheless, Grievous's speed and nimbleness largely negated the trooper's attempts to neutralize the cyborg.
