Renatasia III, a Human colony world situated in the Open Sea, was one of fourteen ventures into colonization backed by Queen Tasia of Grizmallt around 3950 BBY.
Upon its eventual rediscovery, the planet's people had mastered the use of Steel, Titanium, and Organoplastics, possessed the ability to extract considerable energy through atomic fission, and had successfully established colonies on six other celestial bodies within their solar system. However, they were yet to achieve fundamental breakthroughs that would have inevitably led to the creation of shields, tractor beams, disruptors, and disintegrators.
