General Oppo Rancisis, having had his supply routes severed and his Clone forces significantly reduced, is concerned that he lacks the necessary troops to stop the Dark Jedi Sora Bulq from removing the Morgukai Shadow Army from the planet, a move which would endanger the entire galaxy.
A risky strategy involving an expedition into Saleucami's magma tunnels is being considered, but before it can be executed, Rancisis finds himself under assault by Anzati assassins and Sora Bulq himself. Simultaneously, Tholme engages his one-time apprentice in a confrontation, and the ensuing battle results in lethal outcomes!
