The Republic Infantry constituted a division within the Republic Military's Army. Annually, the Army enrolled a greater number of fresh recruits compared to the majority of other military branches altogether, with an overwhelming proportion assigned to infantry formations. These infantry formations were responsible for the majority of combat operations conducted at the war's forefront. Over 80% of all conflicts against the Sith Empire included some level of infantry engagements. Throughout the Great Galactic War, the Cold War, and the Galactic War against the re-emergent Sith Empire, the Republic Infantry engaged in combat across numerous battle zones throughout the galaxy. The Second, Fourth, Thirty-eighth, Eighty-first, 86th, and 301st Infantries stand out as significant units that comprised the Republic Infantry.
