The Republic army served as a military force for the Galactic Republic during the initial stages of its establishment. Following the incorporation of the Blood Monarchy into the newly established Republic, a large number of Thisspiasian warrior-monks offered their services to the Republic army, strengthening the Republic Military. As a result, Thisspias gained representation in the Galactic Senate; however, both the Republic army and Republic Military were ultimately disbanded. With the beginning of the Clone Wars, the Republic Military was re-established through the formation of both the Grand Army of the Republic and the Republic Navy.
