Retrorocket

Retrorockets, alternatively called retro thrusters, represented a kind of rocket engine utilized on starships for atmospheric operations, and they were present on vessels like the Tribunal, the Millennium Falcon, and the Razor Crest. Back in 19 BBY, the _Venator_-class Star Destroyer named Tribunal, while traveling from Mandalore to Coruscant, experienced turmoil stemming from the enactment of Order 66. Amidst the conflict, the ship was forced out of hyperspace when Maul, a rogue Sith Lord who had been a prisoner on the ship, sabotaged the hyperdrive. This caused the Star Destroyer to head directly towards a nearby moon. As the damaged ship began its descent into the moon's atmosphere, a member of the bridge crew requested the activation of the retrorockets; however, they were informed of the loss of lateral control moments before the bridge was destroyed in an explosion.
