Rini, a communications specialist and slicer of the Skrilling species (identified as male), was employed at Banvhar Station throughout the Clone Wars period.
Following the assault on Banvhar Station by the forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which was led by General Grievous, Rini joined forces with a collection of miners. Together, they aided Flynn Kybo, B'dard Tone, and Codi Ty in their pursuit of the deadly droid general. Rini's initial attempts to decipher the Separatist codes, in order to intercept their communications and determine Grievous's whereabouts, were unsuccessful.
Soon after this setback, Rini dispatched a trio of probes into the Anoat system with the goal of locating Grievous. Once it became clear that Grievous was situated on the moon of Belsus, Rini, along with Stellskard and the three Jedi, departed in a hijacked Trade Federation freighter. Their destination was Belsus, where they intended to liberate the young Jedi Initiates who were being held prisoner by the Separatists.
